Women's Self-Defense Class

We are excited to host a 2024 Women's Self-Defense classes at Mattix Academy from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM EST. These classes are primarily focused on using the principles of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (mixed with Wrestling, Judo, and Boxing) to provide a well rounded instructional teaching.

Register with a friend, mother, child, family and join us for techniques, laughs, and kick ass energy. We welcome anyone from the recommended age of 10+.

Due to space capacity, we are limiting to 16 individuals to provide best instructional assistance while drilling and performing the techniques. If tickets are sold out, check out the upcoming events page and sign up for future events.

Agenda:

• 8:30-9 am: Check-in, Sign Waive, Networking
• 9-10am: Warmup, Technique Review + Drilling
• 10-10:20am: Q&A & Open Training

Key points to know:

• Shoes are not worn on the mat. You will be barefoot. Socks are ok.
• Water and poweraid available for purchase.
• A waiver will be required for you to sign before getting on the mats.
• No shoes are allowed on the mats. When you enter, please place your shoes on the shoe racks in front of the mat.
• Carry your shoes with you if you use the restroom. To maintain clean mats, we ask all students to wear shoes while using the restroom, then take the shoes off to walk on the mats
• The techniques we will teach will have you falling on the floor and taking you out of your comfort zones. We will have instructors on the mat to ease any discomfort.
